  • 10 g fresh ginger root grated
  • 1 piece red chili pepper minced
  • 1 piece garlic clove minced
  • 15 ml soy sauce low sodium
  • 10 ml honey pure
  • 10 ml vegetable oil
  • 10 g green onion sliced
  • 1 pinch black pepper ground

Origins

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients: dice the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces, grate the fresh ginger root, mince the red chili pepper and garlic clove, and slice the green onion.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a medium non-stick skillet over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
  3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and saute for about 1 minute until fragrant, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
  4. Add the diced chicken breast to the skillet and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned.
  5. Add the minced red chili pepper, soy sauce, and honey to the skillet. Stir well to coat the chicken evenly with the sauce.
  6. Cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and the flavors to meld.
  7. Season with a pinch of ground black pepper and stir in the sliced green onion just before removing from heat.
  8. Serve the spicy ginger chicken hot, optionally with steamed rice or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

Tips

  • Use fresh ginger for the best flavor and aroma.
  • Adjust the amount of red chili pepper to control the spiciness.
