- 150 g chicken gizzards cleaned
- 50 g onion diced
- 1 piece garlic clove minced
- 10 g unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 pinch black pepper ground
- 1 pinch salt
- 10 ml olive oil

- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit).
- Wash the apple and carefully core it, leaving the bottom intact to hold the filling.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic clove to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add cleaned chicken gizzards to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes.
- Season the mixture with fresh thyme leaves, salt, and ground black pepper. Stir well.
- Remove the skillet from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- Fill the cored apple with the chicken gizzard mixture, pressing gently to pack it in.
- Place the filled apple in a small baking dish and dot the top with unsalted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the apple is tender and the filling is hot.
