  • 50 g onion diced
  • 40 g red bell pepper diced
  • 1 piece garlic clove minced
  • 100 ml canned diced tomatoes
  • 80 g kidney beans drained
  • 100 ml beef broth low sodium
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika smoked
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil extra virgin
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper ground

  1. Heat olive oil extra virgin in a medium pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion diced and red bell pepper diced to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add garlic clove minced and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef (lean) to the pot and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  5. Stir in chili powder, ground cumin, and smoked paprika and cook for 1 minute to toast the spices.
  6. For in canned diced tomatoes and beef broth low sodium, stir well to combine.
  7. Add kidney beans drained, salt, and black pepper ground to the pot and mix.
  8. Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
