  • 50 g unsalted butter melted
  • 40 g granulated sugar
  • 60 g digestive biscuits crushed
  • 30 ml whole milk
  • 10 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  1. Line a small round cake pan (about 15 cm diameter) with parchment paper.
  2. In a heatproof bowl, combine chopped dark chocolate and unsalted butter.
  3. Melt the chocolate and butter together over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth.
  4. Remove the bowl from heat and stir in granulated sugar until dissolved.
  5. Add whole milk, vanilla extract, and unsweetened cocoa powder to the chocolate mixture and mix well.
  6. Fold in crushed digestive biscuits until evenly combined.
  7. For the mixture into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or until firm and set.
  9. Once set, remove the cake from the pan and peel off the parchment paper.
  10. Slice and serve chilled, optionally garnished with fresh berries or whipped cream.
