  • 100 g ripe avocado peeled and pitted
  • 80 g cooked chickpeas drained
  • 15 g tahini sesame paste
  • 15 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 1 piece garlic clove minced
  • 10 ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 15 ml water cold

  1. Peel and pit the ripe avocado and place the flesh into a food processor or blender.
  2. Drain the cooked chickpeas and add them to the food processor with the avocado.
  3. Add the tahini sesame paste, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic clove, extra virgin olive oil, ground cumin, and salt to the food processor.
  4. For in the cold water to help with blending and create a smooth texture.
  5. Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed to ensure even mixing.
