  • 60 g cheddar cheese shredded
  • 15 g jalapeno pepper diced
  • 30 g yellow onion diced
  • 120 ml cold lager beer
  • 15 g unsalted butter melted

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt. Stir well to mix.
  3. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeno pepper, and diced yellow onion to the dry ingredients. Mix to distribute evenly.
  4. For the cold lager beer into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a spoon until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Grease a small loaf pan with some melted unsalted butter or line it with parchment paper.
  6. For the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Brush the top of the batter with the remaining melted unsalted butter to help form a golden crust.
  8. Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely or serve warm.
