  • 50 g prosciutto ham thin slices
  • 100 ml whole milk
  • 1 piece large egg
  • 20 g all purpose flour
  • 10 g unsalted butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper ground
  • 10 g grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Grease a small baking dish with half of the unsalted butter.
  3. Wash the zucchini and slice into thin rounds about 3 mm thick.
  4. Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat and add the remaining butter.
  5. Add the zucchini slices and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened but not browned.
  6. Remove the zucchini from the pan and arrange evenly in the baking dish.
  7. Tear the prosciutto ham into bite-sized pieces and scatter over the zucchini.
  8. In a mixing bowl, whisk the large egg until smooth.
  9. Add the all purpose flour and whisk to combine without lumps.
  10. Gradually add the whole milk while whisking to form a smooth batter.
  11. Season the batter with salt and ground black pepper.
  12. For the batter evenly over the zucchini and prosciutto in the baking dish.
  13. Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese on top of the batter.
  14. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the clafoutis is puffed and golden.
  15. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
