- 50 g dried chickpeas soaked overnight
- 30 g split red lentils rinsed
- 70 g skinless lamb shoulder diced
- 40 g onion diced
- 20 g celery stalk diced
- 10 g fresh parsley chopped
- 10 g fresh cilantro chopped
- 50 ml tomato puree
- 10 ml vegetable oil
- 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
- 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 0.25 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper ground
- 500 ml water
- 15 g vermicelli pasta broken
- 1 piece lemon wedge

Instructions
- Soak dried chickpeas in water overnight and rinse before cooking.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and celery to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add diced lamb shoulder to the pot and brown on all sides.
- Stir in ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground turmeric, salt, and ground black pepper; cook for 1 minute to release aromas.
- Add tomato puree and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add soaked chickpeas, rinsed lentils, and 500 ml water to the pot; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer covered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Add chopped parsley and cilantro to the pot and stir well.
- Add broken vermicelli pasta and cook for an additional 10 minutes until pasta and legumes are tender.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot with a lemon wedge to squeeze over the soup.
