  • 70 ml warm water
  • 10 g unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt fine
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder

  1. In a large bowl, combine whole wheat flour, fine salt, and baking powder.
  2. Gradually add warm water to the dry ingredients while mixing with your hand or spoon.
  3. Knead the mixture into a soft dough for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each into a ball.
  6. Lightly flour a clean surface and roll each dough ball into a thin round flatbread about 15 cm in diameter.
  7. Heat a dry skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  8. Place one flatbread on the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form on the surface.
  9. Flip the flatbread and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown spots appear.
  10. Remove the flatbread from the skillet and brush lightly with melted unsalted butter.
  11. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining dough balls.
  12. Serve warm with your favorite Indian dishes or dips.
