  • 200 g potato peeled and sliced
  • 100 g Reblochon cheese sliced
  • 50 ml whole milk
  • 10 g unsalted butter
  • 1 piece garlic clove minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper ground

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit).
  2. Butter a small baking dish with unsalted butter.
  3. Rub the inside of the baking dish with the minced garlic clove.
  4. Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes evenly in the dish.
  5. Sprinkle a pinch of salt, black pepper, and half the fresh thyme leaves over the potatoes.
  6. For half of the whole milk evenly over the potatoes.
  7. Place half of the sliced Reblochon cheese on top of the potatoes.
  8. Repeat layering with remaining potatoes, salt, pepper, thyme, milk, and cheese.
  9. Dot the top with small pieces of unsalted butter.
  10. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  11. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
  12. Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.
