- 100 g all purpose flour
- 50 g unsalted butter cold diced
- 30 ml cold water
- 60 g bacon strips diced
- 1 piece large egg
- 100 ml whole milk
- 50 g grated cheddar cheese
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch black pepper ground
- 30 g onion diced

Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all purpose flour and cold diced unsalted butter. Use your fingers to rub butter into flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add cold water gradually and mix until dough forms a ball. Wrap dough in plastic and chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Roll out chilled dough on a floured surface to fit a 20 cm tart pan. Press dough into pan and trim edges.
- Prick bottom of dough with fork to prevent bubbling.
- Bake crust in preheated oven for 10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook diced bacon strips until crispy. Remove bacon and drain excess fat.
- In the same skillet, add diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
- In a bowl, whisk together large egg, whole milk, salt, and ground black pepper.
- Spread cooked bacon and onions evenly over the pre-baked crust.
- Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over bacon and onions.
- For egg and milk mixture over the filling carefully.
- Bake quiche in oven for 25 to 30 minutes until filling is set and top is golden.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

- Do not overmix dough to keep it tender.
- Let quiche cool slightly before slicing for cleaner cuts.
