  • 15 g granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 120 ml lager beer chilled
  • 15 g unsalted butter melted

  1. Preheat your oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 120 g all purpose flour, 15 g granulated sugar, 4 teaspoons baking powder, and 1 teaspoon salt. Stir well to mix dry ingredients evenly.
  3. For 120 ml chilled lager beer into the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a spoon until just combined; do not overmix to keep bread tender.
  4. Grease a 9 inch loaf pan with a little butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  5. For the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Melt 15 g unsalted butter and brush it evenly over the top of the batter for a golden crust.
  7. Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
