- 2 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 piece whole egg
- 30 ml milk whole
- 1 teaspoon orange zest finely grated
- 1 pinch salt fine
- 10 g powdered sugar for glaze

- In a small bowl, combine warm whole milk and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk whole egg, granulated sugar, and melted unsalted butter until smooth.
- Add the foamy yeast mixture, fresh orange juice, and orange zest to the egg mixture. Stir to combine.
- Gradually add all purpose flour and salt to the wet ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Grease a small savarin mold or bundt pan with butter and lightly dust with flour.
- Transfer the risen dough into the prepared mold, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the mold for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar with a teaspoon of fresh orange juice to make a glaze.
