- 150 g cod fillet skinless
- 2 piece fresh fig sliced
- 30 g goat cheese crumbled
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 piece garlic clove minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice fresh
- 1 pinch salt fine
- 1 pinch black pepper ground

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit).
- Pat dry the cod fillet with paper towels.
- Season the cod fillet with salt and ground black pepper on both sides.
- Heat extra virgin olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic clove to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Place the cod fillet in the skillet and sear for 2 minutes on one side.
- Flip the cod fillet carefully and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Arrange sliced fresh figs on top of the cod fillet.
- Sprinkle crumbled goat cheese evenly over the figs and cod.
- Add fresh thyme leaves and drizzle fresh lemon juice over the top.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8 minutes until the cod is cooked through and cheese is slightly melted.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
