  • 60 g yellow onion sliced
  • 30 g all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 piece garlic clove minced
  • 15 ml vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 1 piece small flour tortilla
  • 5 ml fresh lime juice

  1. Pat dry the raw shrimp with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a bowl, combine all purpose flour, paprika, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper ground.
  3. Toss the shrimp in the flour and spice mixture until fully coated.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the coated shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add sliced yellow onion, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper.
  7. Cook the vegetables for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
  8. Add minced garlic clove to the vegetables and cook for 1 more minute until fragrant.
  9. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss with the vegetables to combine and heat through.
  10. Warm the small flour tortilla in a dry pan or microwave for 20 seconds.
  11. Spoon the shrimp and pepper mixture onto the warm tortilla.
  12. Drizzle fresh lime juice over the filling before serving.
