  • 1 piece large egg beaten
  • 1 piece garlic clove minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 15 ml olive oil

  1. Peel the pumpkin and grate it finely using a box grater.
  2. Chop fresh sage leaves finely and mince the garlic clove.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine grated pumpkin, chopped sage, minced garlic, all-purpose flour, beaten egg, salt, and ground black pepper.
  4. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well combined into a batter.
  5. Heat olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Spoon small portions of the batter into the hot oil, flattening slightly to form fritters.
  7. Cook each fritter for about 3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 3 minutes.
  8. Remove fritters from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  9. Serve the pumpkin and sage fritters warm as a snack or appetizer.
