- 120 g camembert cheese whole rind
- 50 ml heavy cream
- 1 piece egg large
- 10 g unsalted butter
- 1 piece garlic clove minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 pinch black pepper ground

- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit).
- Roll out the shortcrust pastry sheet and place it into a 15 cm pie dish, pressing gently to fit the shape.
- Trim excess pastry edges and prick the base with a fork to prevent bubbling.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a small pan over low heat.
- Add the minced garlic clove to the melted butter and cook gently for 1 minute without browning.
- Slice the camembert cheese into thin wedges, keeping the rind on.
- In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and the large egg until smooth.
