- 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 60 ml heavy cream
- 30 g unsalted butter for sauce
- 50 g dark brown sugar for sauce
- 15 ml golden syrup

- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit).
- Place chopped pitted dates in a bowl and For boiling water over them.
- Add baking soda to the dates and water, stir and let soak for 10 minutes.
