  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 40 g semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the large egg yolk, honey, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  8. Scoop dough by tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
