  • 200 g potato gnocchi
  • 150 ml tomato sauce homemade
  • 75 g mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 piece garlic clove minced
  • 5 g fresh basil leaves chopped
  • 1 pinch salt fine
  • 1 pinch black pepper ground

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (about 400 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  3. Add the potato gnocchi to the boiling water and cook until they float to the surface, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Drain the gnocchi and set aside.
  5. Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Add the minced garlic clove and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, do not brown.
  7. For in the homemade tomato sauce and stir well.
  8. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste, then simmer the sauce for 5 minutes.
  9. Add the cooked gnocchi to the tomato sauce and stir gently to coat them evenly.
  10. Transfer the gnocchi and sauce mixture to a small baking dish.
  11. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
  13. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh basil leaves on top before serving.
