- 50 g all purpose flour
- 30 g unsalted butter cold diced
- 10 g granulated sugar
- 15 ml cold water
- 70 g fresh strawberries halved
- 30 ml apple sauce unsweetened
- 2 g powdered sugar for dusting

- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
- In a bowl, mix all purpose flour and granulated sugar.
- Add cold diced unsalted butter to the flour mixture.
- Use fingertips to rub butter into flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add cold water gradually and mix until dough forms a ball.
- Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
- Roll out chilled dough on floured surface to fit a small tart pan.
- Place dough into tart pan and press evenly on bottom and sides.
- Prick bottom of dough with fork to prevent bubbling.
- Bake tart shell in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden.
- Remove tart shell from oven and let cool completely.
- Arrange halved fresh strawberries evenly on cooled tart shell.
- Drizzle unsweetened apple sauce over strawberries.
- Dust tart lightly with powdered sugar before serving.
