  • 150 g skinless chicken thigh
  • 30 ml soy sauce low sodium
  • 15 ml white vinegar
  • 2 piece garlic clove minced
  • 5 piece black peppercorns whole
  • 1 piece bay leaf dried
  • 5 g brown sugar
  • 50 ml water
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil vegetable
  • 50 g onion sliced
  • 10 g green onion chopped

  1. Heat vegetable cooking oil in a medium skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sliced onion to the skillet and cook until fragrant and translucent, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add skinless chicken thighs to the skillet and brown on all sides for about 5 minutes.
  4. For in low sodium soy sauce, white vinegar, and water into the skillet.
  5. Add whole black peppercorns, dried bay leaf, and brown sugar to the mixture.
  6. Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover the skillet.
  7. Simmer the chicken in the sauce for 25 minutes or until fully cooked and tender.
  8. Remove the lid and increase heat to medium to reduce the sauce slightly, about 5 minutes.
  9. Discard the bay leaf and sprinkle chopped green onion over the chicken before serving.
