  • 1 piece green bell pepper medium
  • 150 g ground beef lean
  • 100 g cooked white rice
  • 50 g onion diced
  • 1 piece garlic clove minced
  • 60 ml tomato sauce
  • 30 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper ground

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Cut the top off the green bell pepper and remove seeds and membranes carefully.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until soft and translucent, about 3 minutes.
  5. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  6. Season the beef mixture with salt and ground black pepper.
  7. Remove skillet from heat and stir in cooked white rice and tomato sauce until well combined.
  8. Stuff the green bell pepper with the beef and rice mixture, pressing down gently to fill completely.
  9. Place stuffed pepper upright in a small baking dish.
  10. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top of the stuffed pepper.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until the pepper is tender and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
