  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Wash the medium red apple thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel.
  3. Using a sharp knife, carefully core the apple from the top, removing seeds and creating a hollow center without cutting through the bottom.
  4. In a small bowl, mix 15 grams of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon zest, and 0.5 teaspoon of ground cinnamon until combined.
  5. Fill the hollow center of the apple with the sugar, lemon zest, and cinnamon mixture.
  6. Place the filled apple in a small baking dish and add 10 grams of unsalted butter on top of the filling inside the apple.
  7. For 30 ml of water into the bottom of the baking dish to keep the apple moist during baking.
  8. Bake the apple in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until the apple is tender when pierced with a fork.
  9. Remove the baked apple from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
