  • 1 piece apple medium
  • 15 g unsalted butter
  • 10 ml olive oil
  • 30 g onion small diced
  • 1 piece fresh thyme sprig
  • 1 pinch black pepper ground
  • 1 pinch salt

  1. Peel the apple and cut it into thin slices about 5 mm thick.
  2. Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the blood sausage pieces to the skillet and cook for 3 minutes on each side until browned and heated through.
  4. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  5. Add the unsalted butter to the same skillet and melt it over medium heat.
  6. Add the diced onion and cook for 3 minutes until softened and translucent.
  7. Add the apple slices and fresh thyme sprig to the skillet.
  8. Cook the apples and onions together for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender but not mushy.
  9. Season the apple and onion mixture with a pinch of salt and ground black pepper to taste.
  10. Return the blood sausage pieces to the skillet and warm everything together for 1 minute.
  11. Remove the thyme sprig and transfer the sausage and apple mixture to a serving plate.
